Shipper's Load & Count
Definition
Shipper's Load & Count (SLC) refers to a notation made on a bill of lading or other transport document to indicate that the loading and counting of the goods have been done by the shipper or on the shipper's behalf. It specifies that the carrier has not verified the quantity or condition of the goods and assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the shipper's load and count.
