Place of Receipt
The place of receipt refers to the location where goods are initially received by the carrier or their authorized agent from the shipper or consignor. It is the point where the carrier takes possession of the goods and assumes responsibility for their transportation. The place of receipt is typically specified in the shipping contract or transport document and can be a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or any other agreed-upon location where the goods are made available for shipment.
