Piggyback
Piggyback, also known as rail-truck or intermodal transportation, is a transportation method that involves combining rail and truck transport modes for the movement of goods. In piggyback operations, goods are initially transported by rail using specialized containers or trailers that can be loaded onto flatbed railcars. Upon reaching a designated rail terminal, the containers or trailers are transferred to trucks for the final delivery to the consignee's location.
