Lift-On/Lift-Off (LO-LO)
Definition
Lift-On/Lift-Off (LO-LO): Lift-On/Lift-Off refers to a cargo handling method where containers or other cargo units are lifted onto and off of a vessel using cranes or other lifting equipment, commonly used for the loading and unloading of container ships or other vessels that do not have their own onboard cargo-handling capabilities.
