Customer’s own transport
Customers Own Transport (COT), also known as Shipper's Own Transport (SOT), refers to a scenario in the supply chain where the customer or shipper arranges and utilizes their own transportation method to move goods or products from one location to another. Instead of relying on a third-party carrier or logistics provider, the customer takes responsibility for managing the transportation process, including arranging for trucks, drivers, and any necessary equipment. COT provides the customer with greater control over their shipments and allows for customization and flexibility in meeting specific transport requirements.
